I am new to the Homeschool arena—reading about homeschooling is enough to think about, but homeschooling and working at home can be a little overwhelming. This E-book was a great read because you have regular, Christ-fearing families who took the initiative to not only follow the Lord’s guidance to protect and instruct their children at home, but also having faith that the Lord will provide for their families. None of this is easy, but they make is clear that it can be done!
The women in TOS Homework: Juggling Home, Work, and School without losing your balance are great examples of work-at-home mothers. How they came to the decision to homeschool, which area of work they fell into, mothers with two children to up to 11 children, school, work, to piano lessons and craft fairs. Working in a motor home to a ranch, these women have done it and as far as I can tell they are not losing their minds!
Quote from the E-book, TOS HomeWork: Juggling Home, Work, and School without losing your balance:
Having a home-based business and homeschooling is a challenge, but it has been something that God has slowly led us into to teach us all responsibility, hard work, unity, and a witness for the world of a family serving God through serving others. –Jennifer Mitchell
I liked the families that were showcased in the E-book because you get a variety of ideas from their own experiences--if you are planning to homeschool and work at home this E-book is for you. In the latter part of the E-book, you get excellent tips on how to keep your finances/bookkeeping in order and wonderful websites for more in-depth research.
