Not Back to School Blog Hop: Week 2 ~ Classroom Share

07 August 2010

This is the second week of the Not Back to School Blog Hop! Our learning room is pretty much the same as last year...not any real big changes except some add/delete to the curriculum.

Of course, this is NOT the only room we use for our homeschool...Homeschool implies 'the home.' The boys like to read their reading assignments (e.g. Reading, Literature, History, & Science) in their bedrooms for a comfortable & quiet space, lunch is in the kitchen, our backyard serves for stress-free environment {laughing}, and a nearby park and lake for our upcoming nature walks. The post is about 10 minutes from here for library, gym, and the like.

Since we have just started out last year, it's not much, but it is our happy home (plus or minus a few tantrums; to include mom). Happy Homeschooling!!

I agree that learning happens all over the home - and beyond! Hope you might stop by my place (#40 on this week's list): http://tinahollenbeck.blogspot.com/2010/08/not-back-to-school-blog-hop-school-room.html.

The room looks great. How neat that you have so many fun places to go nearby. That is one of the things we gave up to move to a more rural and quiet area...no parks and such to walk to. Hope you have a great second year. :)

We school all over the house, too, but I'd love a room like this one! It's bright, and clean, and organized... all of my favorite things! It looks like you're ready for a blessed and happy school year.

Whoa. Four boys, huh? I have three, plus a girl, and I think I've got MY hands full! ;) I love what you say about homeschool being in the entire "home." Good point. Makes me feel a little better about OURS.
