Life at the Ironside Christian Academy
08 August 2009
Here is a video of our first day of Homeschool. I suppose this represents what most days will be like...school, school, eat, play, school... LOL!! Since it is are first year, I did decide to start early--so that we can get some kind of routine going. Our first week went like this; Day 1: "This is awesome!" Day 2: "This is cool", Day 3: "Do we HAVE too?" Day 4: "Field Trip" (to my Husband's Organizational Day),
Day 5: "Ok, Mom we still like it." I got a flower from my oldest on Friday morning and a note saying, 'Thank you for being our teacher.' THANK YOU MY SON!
Even the encouragement of a little small note, makes the world of difference to me and I pray daily that we homeschool for the right reasons--keeping God first in all things in our lives. I lean heavily on Classical and Biblical education, but I have read that 'Eduation is a life journey' and no matter the style of learning that statement is very true. We never stop learning...it's what we learn that makes us who we are. With saying that--We (my Husband and I) want our boys to be Godly men and of Godly character.
So, enjoy the show!

This is great! And since you are a military family, when you move the kids at least get to keep their own teachers and schoolwork when everything else changes. :]
Jessica--I meant to come over sooner--what fun! I love the video. The boys look like they are wonderful:) My daughter loved your music and the maps in your classroom:)
You're right Mrs. C! We have moved 4 times since 2006 to current date. It's one of the many benefits and a major decision to switch to homeschool. Thank you! :)
